Injectables are used against wrinkles and creases and to make them disappear temporarily. Injectables give a younger and fresher appearance. There are various types of injectable treatments, of which Fillers and Botox® are the most commonly known. Both treatments have a different effect and process in the fight against wrinkles and creases. Fillers add volume to your skin, making wrinkles less visible and giving you a younger appearance. Fillers are also used to enhance and add volume to lips. Botox® is a muscle relaxant, which results in a softer and younger appearance. Botox® is effective when treating, for example, crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles (frowns), and a gummy smile, but it is also used against excessive sweating, tension headache and neck pain, migraine, teeth grinding, and jaw clenching.

Injectables are used to reduce wrinkles and creases or make them disappear temporarily. Injectables are also used to enhance the facial contours, making the face look fresher and younger. Every person develops wrinkles and creases differently. They can add character to a face, but sometimes specific lines can give an appearance that is experienced as disturbing, making you look more tired than you are. This can be restored by using injectables. The cosmetic surgeons at Aesthetic Centre Jan van Goyen always aim for the most natural result. The result of the treatment is immediately visible. Injectables last for 6 to 12 months. After this period, the treatment can be repeated without any risks.

Experiences with injectables
Read some of our clients’ experiences below.
“I noticed that I looked tired and that I got more wrinkles in my face. A friend of mine had already used injectables and it really looked very beautiful. I decided to make an appointment as well and I am very happy with the result. I now visit Dr Van Eijk about twice a year.”
“I went to EC Jan van Goyen for a Botox treatment so I would look younger again. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the physicians put me at ease very quickly. The treatment was painless and I hardly experienced any side effects. My husband was very sceptic before I went, but he is very happy with how I look now.”
“All my life, I suffered from excessive sweating under my armpits. With every presentation I had to do, you immediately noticed the wet spots under my arms. I found it extremely embarrassing. But after a Botox treatment, I no longer have this problem anymore. I feel much more self-confident and I no longer feel embarrassed when I give presentations.”

Tips for after the treatment
After the injectable treatment, the skin may be a bit swollen and you can get some bruises in the treated area. To reduce these complaints, we have listed a few tips:
- Cool the treated area for 15 to 30 minutes immediately after the treatment.
- Give your body sufficient rest and avoid sports or heavy exercise immediately after the treatment (for at least 1 day).
- Do not use any makeup for at least 4 hours after the injectable treatment.
- Do not expose the treated area to direct sunlight during the first week after the treatment. If you go outside, we advise you to use a sunscreen with a UV protection factor of at least 50.
- Do not use a sauna, solarium, and swimming pool during the first week after the treatment due to the risk of infection. We also advise you to not visit a beautician for a facial treatment until at least 2 weeks after the filler treatment.
Any swelling and bruising will automatically disappear after a few days and you can fully enjoy the wonderful and natural result of the injectables.
Are injectables something for me?
Due to ageing, for example, you may feel that your face no longer reflects how you feel. Injectables can offer the perfect solution. The treatment consists of injections into the skin, with the purpose to reduce the wrinkles and lines in your face or to enhance your facial contours. The most commonly used substances are botulinum toxin (Botox, Azzalure, and Dysport) and fillers with hyaluronic acid (Restylane and Juvederm). The first substance relaxes the underlying facial muscles, while fillers fill the skin and/or make it firmer. Based on your wishes, you will discuss which treatment is most effective for you with one of our physicians. For more information about injectables or to determine whether injectables will suit your goal, please contact us at 020 – 3055 874 or at email@example.com.
Will the treatment be reimbursed?
Injectables are generally not covered by your health insurance. Should you have any questions about this, then please contact your health insurer.
