At Esthetisch Centrum Jan van Goyen, an initial consultation is always without obligation. You can book this consultation with a plastic surgeon of your choice; we work with both female and male BIG-registered plastic surgeons. During this consultation, the doctor will ask about your wishes and determine whether lipofilling is the appropriate treatment method to achieve the desired result.

After you have discussed the procedure in detail with the plastic surgeon, a personal treatment plan will be made for you. The consultant will then make a quote for you based on this. The prices and costs of a lipofilling treatment vary and depend on various factors such as the treatment zone(s) and your wishes. The quote is therefore always tailor-made. Immediately after your consultation, you will know what lipofilling would cost with us.

What is the average cost of lipofilling?

Lipofilling in the face is available from €3,700, and lipofilling in the breasts from €7,400. After the consultation, you will receive a personalized quote. What do the costs of lipofilling depend on?

The cost of a lipofilling treatment depends on several factors, including:

† The treatment zone. Areas where our doctors frequently perform lipofilling treatments are the face and the breasts. Lipofilling in the face is available from €3,700, and lipofilling in the breasts from €7,400. The area where you desire more volume determines the extent and duration of the treatment; therefore, prices may vary.

† Anesthesia. A lipofilling treatment can be performed under general anesthesia, but in some cases also under local anesthesia. In the case of general anesthesia (narcosis) the operation costs more.

† Number of sessions required. After approximately 3 months, the final result of the treatment is visible. 50 to 70% of the injected fat cells remain, the remainder leaves the body. This may mean that a follow-up session is necessary to achieve the desired result. We charge for these follow-up sessions. The surgeon can usually determine in advance how many sessions you will need to achieve the desired result, so you know in advance what the total price will be.

Reimbursement of lipofilling costs

In some cases, you can get lipofilling reimbursed by your health insurer. For this, a medical indication and an application to your health insurer are required. If the treatment is medically necessary, such as reconstructions after illness, an accident or serious trauma, the treatment may be reimbursed. Inquire about this with your health insurer and ask for the conditions.

If there has been no illness, accident or serious trauma, the treatment is considered a cosmetic procedure. In this case, you are not entitled to compensation. You pay for the treatment yourself.

Dr. Hay Winters

After completing his medical studies at the universities of Ghent and Nijmegen, Dr. Winters trained in general surgery at the Diaconessen Hospital in Eindhoven and the Sint Lucas Hospital in Amsterdam. Subsequently, he specialized in plastic surgery, and after his registration in 1994, Hay Winters focused further on complex reconstructive procedures: primarily of the face and breasts (for example, after the removal of a tumor), but also of the trunk, arms, or legs (likewise after the removal of malignant lesions or following serious accidents). Dr. Joyce Florisson

Plastic surgeon Joyce Florisson obtained her medical degree from Maastricht University in 2006. Drs. Edin Hajder

Edin Hajder studied medicine at the University of Groningen, where he obtained his medical degree cum laude. He trained as a plastic surgeon at OLVG and Amsterdam UMC. He completed part of his training at the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk, Spaarne Gasthuis, and The Hand Clinic. About Edin Hajder, MSc: During his training, Edin Hajder served as chairman of De Jonge Specialist, the national professional association for all medical specialists in training. In this role, he advocated for a healthy and safe training environment and the further modernization of postgraduate medical training. Plastic surgeon Gijs van Selms was trained in Antwerp (RUCA) and Rotterdam (Erasmus University). Drs. Josien van der Meer

Dr. JG van der Meer completed her training as a plastic surgeon at Amsterdam UMC – AMC and OLVG. Remove breast implants and fill breasts with lipofilling

How long had you had breast implants? “After years of being dissatisfied with my AA breasts, I had my breasts enlarged in 2015. I was young, insecure, and wanted to look more feminine. After the surgery, I felt fantastic, and it was also 'necessary' because I had to find a way to work on my self-confidence.‘ Why did you decide to have your implants removed? ’After walking around with prostheses for six years, I eventually considered having them removed. In my eyes, the implants never became supple and looked unnatural. Moreover, I ultimately found them too impractical for my lifestyle. I was further along in my life and ready to embrace my natural body.” How did you end up with plastic surgeon Gijs van Selms? “I thought my breasts were too big, but I noticed that I found it very daunting to go back to being completely flat. In 2020, I looked into the option of having my implants removed and filling my breasts with lipofilling. I went back to the clinic where my implants had been placed, but they found it strange that I wanted to have them removed. After a few years of quiet reflection, saving up, and doing some research, I read about Gijs van Selms via Google. I read that he is one of the experts in the field of explantation and breast corrections.” What did you think of the first consultation? “Very pleasant! I felt welcome, heard, and appreciated. Lipofilling was possible, but I had to promise Van Selms that I would gain weight. This was no punishment for me and was also achievable. Everyone was friendly, and even though it went quite fast, I feel like everyone took the time for me. The room was clean and cool, but the atmosphere was pleasant!” Can you tell us something about your recovery? “I recovered exceptionally quickly. Everything hurt and felt bruised, but within three days I no longer needed painkillers. On the second day after the surgery, I could shower by myself and resume light activities without too much difficulty or pain. After six weeks, I could do everything again.” What do you think of the result? “Aesthetically speaking, I think it looks better, but I also notice that I can move more easily. It also feels much lighter when I breathe, and I can sleep comfortably on my stomach again!” What would you like to say to others considering having their implants removed? “Above all, do what feels right. Take your time to explore the options and visit multiple clinics.” What have you learned from your experiences over the past few years? “I have learned that my ideal body is one I feel comfortable in. With the experience I have gained, I hope to increase my self-acceptance. Laura underwent liposuction of the abdomen and lipofilling in the face

Laura underwent abdominal liposuction and facial lipofilling with plastic surgeon Joyce Florisson. Today, she shares her experience with us. Laura's experience with liposuction and lipofilling: What question led you to Dr. Florisson? “I put off my first consultation with Dr. Florisson for a very long time, because I believe you shouldn't cut into a healthy body. However, I continued to be very bothered by the “pancake” on my stomach. I weighed 126 kg and lost a total of 54 kg over a period of 15 years. Fortunately, this has had no consequences for my skin. It looks smooth and strong, partly because I lost weight slowly and not through a crash diet. I changed my lifestyle. Through my company, I have been guiding overweight people for over 32 years now. It takes a huge amount of getting used to a new body, and I just couldn't get used to my “pancake”.” How long did you think about this step? “I had been thinking about having something done about this for over 8 years.” What did you think of the first consultation? “Upon entering, I immediately felt at ease. I wasn't given strange looks, and Dr. Florisson was the first to compliment me on how I look for my age. Beautiful, plump, strong skin. I felt a bit like a princess.” Was the surgery better or worse than expected? “The surgery was better than I expected. I was back at work quite quickly. The bruising wasn't too bad either. You couldn't see it at all on my face. After a few days, just a small blue spot under my eye, but that was it. There were some visible bruises on my stomach, but they disappeared very quickly. The stitches dissolved quickly too. The two small threads were removed during the follow-up appointment and it already looked very good.” Do you have any tips for people considering liposuction? “If something about your body really bothers you, at least have a conversation about it. By talking about it and seeking advice, you get closer to your decision about whether or not to do anything about it. The treatment is performed under general anesthesia, and you are in good hands. I can wholeheartedly say that this treatment has made me a lot happier. I no longer walk around all day with tense abdominal muscles to hide my “pancake.” The best part is that no one around me (family, friends, clients) sees that anything has happened, but I do see and feel it.
