What is body contouring with liposuction and QuantumRF?
In this treatment, liposuction is combined with QuantumRF. During the liposuction, excess fat is removed. Subsequently, radiofrequency energy is delivered under the skin using QuantumRF.
This energy provides:
- direct contraction of connective tissue;
- stimulation of collagen production;
- Improvement of skin firmness and contour.
This results in a more refined and tighter final result than with liposuction alone. When liposuction is performed exclusively, reducing volume can lead to the skin tightening less effectively and (slight) sagging remaining visible. Combining liposuction with QuantumRF achieves an optimal result.
Who is body contouring suitable for?
Body contouring is particularly suitable for patients who:
- having a healthy BMI and not getting rid of local fat, despite a healthy lifestyle;
- have mild to moderate skin laxity;
- desire a slimmer silhouette without major surgery.
In cases of pronounced excess skin, a surgical correction, such as an abdominoplasty, may be more appropriate. The plastic surgeon will discuss the options with you during the consultation.
Treatment zones
The most treated areas are: chin and jawline, abdomen, flanks, upper legs, and arms.
It is possible to combine zones in a single treatment. And are you bothered by (mild) skin sagging in a specific area, but desire volume reduction elsewhere? That is also possible. The QuantumRF technology can be used independently.

1. Consult
You will come in for a no-obligation consultation with a plastic surgeon of your own choosing. The surgeon will discuss your wishes with you. Based on your initial situation and wishes, you will receive personalized advice with a corresponding quotation. During this consultation, there is ample opportunity to address all your questions, concerns, and doubts.
2. Operation
The treatment is performed under local or general anesthesia. The fat is suctioned away using a fine suction needle, and subsequently, the QuantumRF treatment is applied to tighten the skin. The duration of the procedure depends on the number of treatment zones, usually between 1.5 and 3 hours.
3. Recovery
After the procedure, we'll cover the small incisions with bandages. In most cases, the incisions are so small that stitches aren't necessary. If you do need them, we'll remove them after a week during your follow-up visit. You can go home on the day of the procedure.
Before and after liposuction
Body contouring consists of liposuction followed by QuantumRF. First, we will show you a number of liposuction procedures where QuantumRF was not applied. The result of these is reduced volume, but no skin tightening.
