During the procedure, which was performed under local anesthesia, I was distracted with a nice chat. I hardly noticed anything. The pain was also very bearable.”
Fast recovery
The recovery went smoothly. “After a few days, the swelling had already gone down considerably. I had some bruises, but nothing serious. I was lucky with that, because I know that the swelling was sometimes worse with others. I quickly felt fit again. And what I noticed most of all: I could keep my eyes open much better in the evening. The heavy feeling was gone.”
A fresh look
Carlo is happy with the result, and the people around him also see the difference. “Friends and family say I look fresher and brighter. And I feel it myself. My face is radiant again. I am really happy that I did it.”

Looking back on the entire process, Carlo has no regrets and is full of praise for Jan van Goyen.
