Prof. Gijs Nolst Trenité specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose and is internationally known and was trained in Amsterdam (UvA) as an ENT doctor. He has over 30 years of experience and thousands nose operations executed. He always strives for the most natural result possible. Due to his great expertise in recovery operations, he also regularly sees patients from abroad.
In 1993, Prof. Nolst Trenité published an international study book called “Rhinoplasty, a practical guide to functional and esthetic surgery of the nose”. Prof. Nolst Trentité developed new surgical techniques for nose reconstruction on orofacial cleft and leprosy patients and he trained a large number of doctors in the Netherlands and abroad. He launched an international programme in 1994 called “Modern Rhinoplasty Techniques” at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, which became one of the most renowned programmes in Europe. He performed surgeries (live surgery demonstrations) in various countries in Europe, in the Middle East, and South America on a regular basis.
In addition to his academic career, he has been working at Aesthetic Center Jan van Goyen for over 20 years.
