Prof. Gilbert Nolst Trenité is an internationally renowned specialist in aesthetic and reconstructive nose surgery who received his ENT specialist training in Amsterdam (UvA). He has more than 30 years of experience and has performed thousands of nose surgery procedures. Needless to say that he will always aim for the most natural result. Thanks to his extensive expertise in reconstructive surgeries, he also regularly treats patients from abroad.
In 1993, Prof. Nolst Trenité published an international study book called “Rhinoplasty, a practical guide to functional and esthetic surgery of the nose”. Prof. Nolst Trentité developed new surgical techniques for nose reconstruction on orofacial cleft and leprosy patients and he trained a large number of doctors in the Netherlands and abroad. He launched an international programme in 1994 called “Modern Rhinoplasty Techniques” at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, which became one of the most renowned programmes in Europe. He performed surgeries (live surgery demonstrations) in various countries in Europe, in the Middle East, and South America on a regular basis.
In addition to his academic career, he has been working at Medical Centre Jan van Goyen for more than 20 years. Prof. Nolst Trenité regularly writes blogs.
