I treat people with complaints in their hands, such as pain due to wear and tear in osteoarthritis or tingling due to compression of a nerve. In addition, I treat patients with a general problem, such as a disturbing birthmark or headache due to heavy eyelids.
Plastic surgery is a broad profession, for one problem there are several solutions. It depends on the patient which choice is the right one. This makes my work challenging and interesting. It also gives me great satisfaction to be able to help people with a functional problem, especially with hand problems. A person can dress again or carry out his hobby or work without experiencing pain several times a day.

- Received a Mandema stipend in 2016 for setting up her own line of research into the influence of adipose tissue on the development or reduction of breast cancer, local recurrence after breast cancer reconstruction and complications after reconstruction.
