Route

The four locations of the Jan van Goyen Medical Center are centrally located in Amsterdam South. The locations are easily accessible by public transport, bicycle and car. Parking

Are you coming to our medical center by car? Medical Center Jan van Goyen does not have its own parking space for patients. Take into account limited available places on the street.

prices

A parking rate of €6.00 per hour applies to all our locations in Amsterdam South (Mon-Sat 9am – 9pm). If you have an appointment at Emmastraat or Jan van Goyenkade, it is good to know that from the bridge (Willem Witsenstraat) a parking rate of €4.50 per hour applies. Where should you report for your appointment?

Do you have an appointment with one of our specialists? Check the appointment letter carefully to see which location you should report to. You can register with one of our employees behind the counter. They will sign you in so the doctor can see you are there.
Are you coming for the first time? Then you will first be registered at the desk and a photo will be taken for the patient portal.

What do you bring to your appointment?

  • Insurance details (name of insurer and policy number)
  • Valid identification document (passport, identity card, driver's license). Without this proof, we can
  • unfortunately not treat you.
  • Referral letter from your general practitioner or specialist or your ZorgDomein number. This allows us to declare the costs to your insurer.
  • If you use medication: give your pharmacy permission to share your data or bring an up-to-date medication overview (AMO) on paper. You can request this from your home pharmacy, please list no older than 3 months.

Preparing for your appointment

To be able to help you as best as possible, it is nice to come to your appointment well prepared. It is wise to write down in advance what you want to ask or say. Provide your attending physician with all information about your health condition. Also let me know if you don't understand something. These tips will help make your appointment with your doctor as smooth as possible.

Don't be late for your appointment. There is a chance that there will not be enough time left to help you properly. If this is the case, we are forced to schedule a new appointment.

Reschedule or cancel an appointment

If the date or time does not suit you, you can contact us by phone to make an appointment
to postpone. We can be reached on working days between 08:30 and 17:00, on telephone number 020 – 30 55 800. If you unsubscribe less than 24 hours before the appointment for an appointment that has already been made, we will unfortunately have to charge the costs.

Waiting times

We do our best to work on time, unfortunately this is not always possible. For example, because there is an emergency or a consultation hour or investigation is overdue. It is therefore possible that it is not your turn immediately. Of course we find that annoying for you. We ask for your understanding for any waiting time. You can use our coffee and tea facilities in all waiting areas.

Disabled accessibility

Our buildings on Emmastraat and Jan van Goyenkade are easily accessible for the disabled. The buildings on Lairessestraat and Concertgebouwplein are less so. Of course, on-site assistance is available. If you wish to make use of this, please indicate this when making your appointment.

Do you need an interpreter?

If you are not proficient in the Dutch or English language, take someone with you who does master the Dutch or English language. If you need an interpreter, you are expected to arrange this yourself. When making the appointment, indicate that someone will come with you.
